We are pleased to announce that we have a vacancy within our IT Department to support the management of the company’s IT Infrastructure and supporting the digital transformation in the organisation looking for an IT Engineer to help support their tech team in developing award-winning bespoke software platforms. The role offers great scope and the opportunity to further grow in their career.


About the role - IT Engineer

Providing excellent IT support and day-to-day maintenance of systems to the client base. The role offers great scope and the opportunity to further grow and progress in your career. Working as part of our IT Department, the role will be to developing IT solutions by programming in a range of languages to suit the applications

What you will be responsible for:

  • Active Directory, Servers Management (Windows and Ubuntu), SQL (SQL Server & MySQL), Virtual Machines (VMware, Vsphere), Backups (Veeam), Documentation (Confluence), Synology DSM.
  • Microsoft Office 365 support and good knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • A working knowledge of Fortinet FortiOS, Certero & Axonius.
  • Assist with General Software installation and network management.
  • Network device management & installation, printer servers, Laptops / Desktops, Switches, Firewalls, Raspberry Pi’s. configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
  • Advanced in Windows 10 & 11.
  • Providing user’s support within the company for local and remote workers.
  • Cooperation with headquarter office, branch offices via MS Teams and understand database management and maintenance, generating system enquires.

What you'll need to be successful

  • FIA framework, IT documentation control, CISCO Meraki cloud.
  • Laravel, PHP, Python, C#.net core, SSH.
  • Common Network Protocols, Tools and CLIs, GITHUB, METABASE, VS Code.
  • Jira, Metabase, MerakiCloud, Visual Studio Code Azure Data Studio and SharePoint.
  • Creating BI reports from company IT systems.
  • Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, Virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Windows Server (IIS, Print Server, File Server, Terminal Services).
  • Internet Information Services.
  • Terminal CLI, SSH, Label Printers, ZPL.
  • AI innovations and system solutions.

About you

  • Passion for IT and the prevention of security threats and attack vectors.
  • Understanding of basic IT security principles.
  • Completed a minimum HNC/HND or Degree in IT/Software development with between 1-2 years’ experience in an IT programme background.
  • Strong communication on all levels, including complex IT issues in simple terms.

    Salary & Benefits

    Salary £35,000

    Work-life balance

    • You are entitled to 20 days' paid holiday in each holiday year, or the pro rata equivalent if you work part time.
